ZACHARY IS CURRENTLY ON A MEDICAL HOLD!

PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.

Zachary is a sweet, soulful, 1-year-old Hound mix who presently weighs 46 lbs! Zachary has a very kind disposition which shines through his eyes. His energy level can be described as high. Now that he is out of a shelter setting, nothing makes his heart go pitter-patter quite like running around in his foster’s backyard. He LOVES it! Zachary does great with other dogs but is too inquisitive for a home with cats. A cat-free home is best. Zachary does great around little humans and finds them rather entertaining! He sleeps in his crate soundly through the night. When his foster is at work, he is crated. If he is crated but sees his foster family out and about in eye’s view, he may whine a bit because he wants to be part of everything.

Behavior: Zachary is fearful of new people at first but once he realizes they will not hurt him, he opens up. He has shown no aggression whatsoever. No growling or resource guarding at all. He’s still building up his self-esteem and confidence with positive reinforcement. Zachary loves to eat and play with other dogs. We asked his foster mom to describe an ideal future. She shared that he would enjoy a forever home with other dogs/another dog, resident kids and a fenced in yard to run around. Please check back for his availability!
