In partnership with Cecil County Animal Services and in connection with an animal cruelty case, we took in 10 dogs last night. We received 8 Beagles, 1 Beagle mix, and a Parson Terrier mix. They are all settling into their new foster homes. Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters for helping us pull off the Beagle Project!
Please check out the below video showing the pups we rescued in 2017! Thank you Lisa for putting this together for us!!
It is with deep sadness tonight that we share the following:
Mr. Sparkles has crossed the Rainbow Bridge as a result of end stage liver disease. He was held in his final moments. He came to rescue a week ago as a shelter transfer. During his time with us, he was showered with love by his foster family.
We are honored that he was a part of our group for the time we had him. He was an easygoing, sweet and gentle dog but his body was worn down. His spirit will remain with us and we will find comfort in knowing he is running pain-free in heaven.
We love you, Mr. Sparkles. Rest In Peace.
Today’s meet & greet featured our two newest puppies, Delaney & Otto along with our lovable senior muppet, Henson! The boys really seemed to enjoy being in the spotlight & hopefully helped themselves along the road to finding that perfect furever home! Special thanks to our volunteers who took time out of their busy Christmas weekend and to Concord Pet for hosting us!
We held our annual Photos with Santa at Concord Pet on Sunday, December 17th. It was a big success, raising money for our dogs in need and allowing us to save more pups! Thank you to everyone who showed up & a special thank you to Santa Frank!
At 3 AM this morning, the transport arrived from North Carolina and we got to meet our two newest rescue pups, Holly Belle & Berry! They were obviously, a little scared & confused but could not be any sweeter. They are now resting comfortably together in their foster home. After a visit to our vet for an evaluation, they will be posted & ready for adoption. Thank you to team members, Kristy & Mike for handling! And thank you to the wonderful people who drove these pups up to DE. Welcome to Renee’s Rescues sweethearts!
Our 2018 Calendar is currently at the printers and is available for ordering! They should be in stock by December 1st! Please consider purchasing one (or more) to help support all the work that we do. The cost is $15 per calendar plus $3 for shipping. As always, we appreciate your support!
It is with complete & overwhelming sadness that we share the news about Duke. Duke came to us from Texas about 2 months ago and today was his big day! He was going from his incredibly loving foster home to meet his potential new family. During the meet & greet, Duke slipped free from his adopter and ran directly into oncoming traffic. He did not make it and has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. It is an absolute tragedy all the way around.
Rest easy, sweet Duke. Forever in our hearts. We will never forget you and hope you felt how much we loved you when you were with us.
We’ve had a really busy week this past week. 7 of our dogs were adopted and we couldn’t be happier for every one of them and their new families! Congratulations and happy tails to KRIMPET, MR. NIBBLES, OREO, PANCHO, PEPE, REGGAE & SISSY!!
