PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.
Meet Wags! Wags is a handsome, charming 7-month-old Lab mix looking for a family to call his very own! Wags is dog-friendly, neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. He weighs 45 lbs. at present. His energy can be described as “full of puppy” but eager to learn and motivated to make his humans happy! Wags follows directions remarkably well and can be described as happy-go-lucky! He’s inquisitive and learning the world around him. Sometimes he trips on his lanky puppy legs but we think it just adds to his charm! Wags is crate trained while his foster parents are at work and has done phenomenally! No potty accidents! He also sleeps soundly in his crate without issue. He’s thrived so far on routine and knows queues without prompting. Wags shares his foster home with other canine pals! They get along well! Wags seemed very intrigued by the cats at our vet’s office during his wellness exam. It’s hard to say how he would do living in a home with them. (We’d need to further evaluate.) Right now, we are recommending a home with no small toddlers, as Wags gets the happy zoomies of excitement and may inadvertently jump on and knock over a little one.
Wags loves tennis balls and squeaky toys but will play with anything in front of him, including grass and sticks. 😂 He does get a little destructive with stuffed toys so he doesn’t get those when he’s unsupervised. He loves nylabones, according to his foster family. Wags needs a fenced-in yard, as he finds the most joy in romping around the backyard and can do it for hours on end.
