Do you like the idea of a dog but prefer one who is more independent and not in front of you pawing for attention? We have a very special dog named Sylvie. Unfortunately, Sylvie was never physically handled prior to coming to rescue. Sylvie came to us as an owner surrender from a private residence in New Jersey. In that home, she lived with over 30 other dogs in a small space.
The owner agreed to surrender the dogs and they are all adjusting at their own pace. We’ve gotten Sylvie spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Now she waits for an adopter! Sylvie is 1-year-old, crate trained and house trained. She is move-in ready! While she won’t want to cuddle or be held, she will allow you to spoil her with toys, treats, food, shelter and admiration from afar! She LOVES other dogs and beams with joy while playing.
