It may be Spring but Summer is here and she has four legs! Summer was surrendered to rescue, as the former owner wanted a better life than she could provide at present. Summer is 9 years old, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Summer was surrendered with another dog from the same residence; however, we were told they’re not bonded and would do well separately. Summer likes to chill and relax, so a laid-back environment without a lot of stimulation is ideal. Just like her former housemate, Summer is too anxious around little humans and should be adopted to a home where she will not be around young children. No children, please.
Summer is house-trained. Before adoption, Summer will be started on monthly preventatives and tested for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis. If she has any diseased teeth, they will be extracted under anesthesia which the rescue pays for. All healthy teeth will be cleaned and polished for her fresh start with her new family! Many are discouraged from adopting older dogs but they’re just as worthy of being first-class pets! We assess any medical factors prior to adoption so you’re not adopting on a whim.
