Meet adoptable Storm! Storm is a 36lb., 5-year-old Shepherd mix who joined our rescue when he was out of time at an open-admissions shelter. He’s neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and very healthy! He tested negative for Heartworm disease. Storm’s energy level can be described as moderate. He loves to chill and be around other dogs and people as the wind breezes through his fur. Every now and again he will have a moment of “zoomies” with the resident dogs at his foster home. He’s learned the resident pack dynamic and acclimated quickly, without issue.
His foster mom shares that he’s been a superstar with both house-training and being in the crate! If you’re ready to train, food motivation is his game! Storm is incredibly food motivated and you’ll have full attention! Storm stays in a crate when his foster mom is at work without any stress. He takes a good snooze and is calm and relaxed.
We have not observed Storm around children or cats yet. He has seen kids playing outside but does not have any reaction. He’s been timid with some things – stairs were a big one at first, and just any big noises, but he’s been gaining confidence and is willing to try. Storm was confused by stairs on arrival to rescue. His foster mom taught him and he picked up very quickly. Now he’s a pro! A bit of encouragement helps Storm get through new things. Storm enjoys treats, training, playing outside, and cuddles from humans! Now he just needs his very own family. Please let us know if Storm’s profile resonates with you!
