STEVE IS NOW PENDING ADOPTION!

PLEASE NOTE – Fosters with our rescue have 2 weeks to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt the pup in their care.

Meet Steve!  Steve is a sweet senior Italian Greyhound. He lived with lots of other dogs but never had a chance to be doted on. Now that he’s experienced human compassion, he can’t get enough. Can you help us give this rescue dog a cozy lap and a loving home for his remaining years? Steve spent his entire life inside his former owner’s home – never taken on walks. While his new world is for the better, he’s understandably confused. Here’s what his foster mom says:

“He takes a bit to open up but once he chooses a person he’s great. He needs diapers (I got him some) because he pees himself in his sleep and whoever fosters him or adopts him has to be okay with him sleeping in bed with them because the crate makes him freak out. He eats only wet food because his teeth seem to hurt him and he’s sore in the morning so he needs some extra time to get up. He only had 1 accident the first day but none since then. He’s protective so he growls at people who come up to me but he’s never bit or snapped. He just wants to sleep all day which is fine with me. He loves dogs and cats but the cat whacked towards him and now he’s a bit afraid. When he is in a new environment he gets super scared which is why I would hate for him to be bounced around…”
