I’m Snickers! And although my foster family wishes I had a name that reflected my older, more dignified stature, I like it, and come when called (although you must say it loud enough for my old ears to hear!).
My favorite treat is a walk around the neighborhood. I’ve been told I’m great on a walk: no pulling or stopping every few feet. In fact, my foster mom and I have both lost weight since we got together (and who doesn’t like that!). I’ve also been told I’m quite amiable. I get on well with other dogs, cats and strangers. I like being close to humans, but not necessarily on furniture, laps or a bed. I’m happy curled up on a rug in the living room when they go up for bed.
I don’t mind being in the house alone either. My strong bladder is a plus day and night! Someone thought I was a Pomeranian mix. My family says “no way”. They have heard me howl like a coyote and seen my short legs. They are sure I’m part Sheltie and Corgi.
I’m recovering well from the neglect of my former family, although it will still be awhile before my fur grows out from their terrible attempt at a haircut. I also need some surgery before you can take me. By then I’ll have cleaner teeth and better breath!
