Meet Slim! Slim is a mixed breed cutie who is 1 year and 6 months old. He weighs 38 lbs and transferred to us through one of our shelter partners. He is super smart, completely house trained, crate trained and sleeps in his crate all night! Slim is great with people, current on vaccines & neutered. He is also very social! While assessing Slim, we’ve observed that he can be dominant with some dogs. As a result, a more submissive dog would align vs another dominant dog. Slim is very playful and absolutely loves playing with toys! He loves to run and can dart and dash like nobody’s business. As a result, a home with a fenced-in yard is preferred.
Slim will sit when requested and his recall is great so far. For transparency, we want to note that car rides are upsetting for him at present. (We have noticed that his first few car rides were stressful and we are unsure if there is some past trauma relating to a vehicle.) It’s something we believe he will slowly come around with once he feels safe and trainers agree this will just take time. Slow and steady.
