Welcome Sadie! This lovely lady comes to us with a sad backstory. She was abandoned and found chained to a fence in the middle of a thunder storm & taken in by the people that found her. She is an approximately 8 year old, 30 lb., Terrier mix. She is very loving, likes to cuddle on the couch and in the bed. She is very attached to soft items like blankets, pillows, comforters, they make her feel safe. Sadie needs a family who is willing/able to walk her at least twice per day OR has a fenced in yard for her to run around freely. She cannot be unleashed outside or without a fence as she likes to run after other animals like deer, horses, and cattle. She does well with other dogs & cats, but may take some time to feel comfortable/get acclimated (she is currently in a home with another dog that was in the home before she arrived, and a cat that was taken in as a kitten around 3 years after taking her in). Sadie is very loyal and protective of her owners. Unfortunately, they now need to re-home her due to her jealousy of a new baby. She would do best with teenage children only. Understandably, she has some abandonment anxiety and scares very easily with loud noises and storms. She is crate trained, knows basic commands (sit, come, go outside, etc.
