Meet Rose! 🌹 🐕

Rose is a beautiful, 1 & 1/2-year-old Hound mix available for adoption! Rose has had a rough go of things but she’s hopeful for better days ahead!

She originated in NC where she was found in the woods by animal control with her hind leg clamped in a coyote trap. Rose has since had surgery and is on the road to recovery! She did require toe amputation on a few of her toes on her right rear leg due to trauma from the coyote trap. It was necessary to save her foot. The great news is she is healing wonderfully and walks without issue to her balance! Rose loves other dogs. Although not aggressive towards feline friends, we think she’d do best in a cat-free home. No cats.

Rose’s foster mom shares: “Rose is sweet and very quiet. I haven’t heard her bark once since she’s been with me. She keeps her crate clean and goes in very easily. If you want to give her a treat, she’ll run into her crate, so you can give it to her in there. She takes treats very gently. She loves to cuddle on the couch and will sleep with you in bed all night if you let her. Although she is not aggressive with the resident cat, I think a cat-free home would be best for her. She is scheduled to be spayed on April 13.

Please submit a pre-adoption application if you think Rose may be the sweet new family member you’re looking for!
