PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.
Ravens is called Teddy by his foster family. Teddy is a 10-year-old Miniature Poodle mix weighing approx. 13 lbs. He was rescued from a puppy mill along with dozens of other dogs as part of our Project Chesapeake.
As a result of his past, Teddy faces a couple of challenges: he is partially deaf and has flat feet, both due to spending the first decade of his life in a cage.
Teddy has been neutered, undergone a dental cleaning, and is current on all his vaccinations. He is also microchipped.
Although he may be a bit shy initially, once Teddy learns to trust you, he will snuggle up next to you on the couch and enjoys sleeping in bed with you. He thrives on love and affection.
While he is potty trained, it’s essential to keep a close watch on him, especially right after he wakes from a nap or has slept in your bed overnight—he needs to be taken outside promptly.
Teddy gets along well with other dogs, but he may let out a small growl if another dog approaches while he’s next to you. It’s best to avoid homes with small children, as he is quite fragile.
It would be ideal for Teddy to find a forever home where his humans are home throughout the day. If you must leave, crating him is recommended for his safety.
If you believe you can provide the loving home Teddy deserves, please complete an adoption application.
