Say hi to Popcorn! Popcorn is an adorable, playful 5-month-old mixed breed puppy. She recently moved into her foster home & they have provided some great info on our sweet gal.

-she does well with cats, dogs, and little kids.
-she is good at knowing what’s okay to chew (her toys) vs. whats not (she’s grabbed an occasional shoe and wall trim). I found cat “scratch-off” keeps her from coming back a 2nd time.
-she does not beg at tables or jump up on people 👍🏼
-she has got ‘sit’ and ‘down’ under her belt. We are working on ‘paw’ ‘come’ and ‘stay’ which she is making progress on. She can become overstimulated and will need a break.
-she does bite/nibble on peoples ankles, hands, or limbs when she is overstimulated. This can usually be corrected by placing a toy in-front of her. We have also found that a spray bottle with water works. As soon as she sees the bottle, she knows to stop.
-she can sometimes growl or have “chihuahua like” barking directed at people, this is fixed the same way as nibbling corrections above.
-she is “75%” House trained. She knows to go potty outside but I think she’s just too small to hold it all the time. Without a walk for 3+ hours she may have an accident. I’m hoping she will grow out of this as she gets bigger.
-we are working on better kennel training her but have not been kenneling her. When we leave, we let her to roam around our apartment when we are gone. We have had no issues with this besides an accident if we are gone for 3+ hours.
