Sweet Penelope is a gorgeous 1.5-year-old mixed breed seeking a forever home! Penelope had a litter of babies. A rescue acquired her puppies but she was left behind because she’s Heartworm positive. We’ve taken in this momma, in addition to two other adult female dogs who were in the same scenario.
Penelope does fabulously around other dogs, cats and children. She’s shy at first; however, once you make her feel at ease, her tail will thump to the beat of a drum.
Penelope is continuing a routine to ensure solid house-training. Overall, her disposition is incredibly friendly and we look forward to getting to know her! All of our dogs are altered, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for any existing medical issues when they come into rescue and prior to being adopted out.
Penelope would do wonderfully as a family dog or even as a best friend to a single person.
We’re a foster-based rescue with no facility. Please submit a pre-adoption app to express interest. Her Heartworm treatment will take roughly 2.5 months or so. The rescue covers this cost so she can have a fresh start. As of 7/31, she weighs 47-lbs.
