Introducing Miss Honeybunchs AKA Nugget or if she really likes you Honey Nugget. This little lady is a Special Needs Pug mix, approx. 4-years-old & spayed. Weighing in at just 12 lbs., she is the ideal lap dog. Which is a good thing because she loves to snuggle and camp out on her humans lap all day. She is a low energy, very chill little girl. She prefers a calm environment and would benefit from having another dog in her new home. As they help to build her confidence.
Nuggie didn’t have the greatest past and humans weren’t always nice to her. Understandably she is shy when meeting new people and will hide a lot. It will take some time for her to learn to trust. But when she does she is a love bug. Nugget is considered “Special Needs” because she has severe hip dysplasia, very bad knees, and her spine is slightly bent. She does not always use her hind legs and you will see her walking around on just her front legs with her back ones lifted in the air. Inside she will slide her bottom across the floor when she is tired. It is important for her over all health and longevity to stay on OMEGA- 3 supplements, Joint Supplements, pain meds as needed, and keep a slim healthy weight. We encourage her to use her hind legs as much as possible. Although you would think this would slow her down but it doesn’t. She has no problem keeping up with her foster dog & cat siblings.
