Meet Marie! She comes to us as a shelter transfer from Maryland. She is 1 year old, microchipped and scheduled to be spayed. Marie is Heartworm negative, dewormed and vaccinated. In addition, she is house-trained!
Marie is very petite and only weighs 24.7 lbs. The photos can be deceiving as most see them and assume she’s 45 lbs. She has a history of doing well around other dogs, cats and children. Sadly, Marie came from an unfortunate situation. Our shelter partner let us know that she lived at a property with 29 other animals before being rescued.
Marie is a sweet, friendly dog. She loves to nap pretty much anywhere you will allow. She loves to snuggle herself up into a ball and relax! We assessed Marie with other dogs in a controlled setting. She did great. When a male dog was pestering her since she is in heat, she did check him and let him know that this wasn’t okay. He eventually backed off and ignored her afterwards. Outside of that, she has a neutral energy and loves to run and play!
