Project Chesapeake Part 3 (Thanksgiving edition) is a rescue of an additional 21 puppies & adult dogs, former puppy mill dogs, saved in conjunction with one of our local shelter partners. As with the two previous groups, these dogs had never lived indoors, never had a family of their own and have never received love & affection. As before, they arrived in various stages of distress, despair & fear. Now they are all in loving foster homes and starting to show their true personalities. Since they are still skittish, never learned to walk on a leash and are still flight risks, all are requiring a fully fenced yard at this time.
Mac ‘N Cheese is a little 5 lb., 4 year oldMiniature/Toy Poodle who really likes to be with her humans. She is doing great with house training with access to the yard. She sleeps quietly in her crate all night and is doing well learning to be alone in her crate during the day for short periods. She’s still very timid but gets a little bolder every day. She loves to snuggle on your lap or in a big fuzzy dog bed. Definitely low energy so far and a very sweet girl looking for a warm lap to cuddle on. She is current on shots and will be spayed & microchipped prior to adoption.
