I love Lucy!
And you will too. Lucy is your girl next door who loves long walks in the park, runs on the beach, & car rides to nowhere and everywhere and even quiet dinners at home. She loves the idea of other dogs but does prefer to be your one-and-only darling, 2 year old spayed, microchipped and vaccine current Shepherd mix who’s got her act together. This lovely lass was owner surrendered so instead of living the life she was born to she can only dream about it & we don’t want that to be in a cold and sterile boarding environment! Happily, youth is on this girl’s side and although she’s had to make a lot of unexpected adjustments she remains upbeat and perky.
If you’re bitten by Lucy’s bio and are interested in getting to know her better through fostering and have a canine companion, dog meets can be arranged to see if the dogs are compatible. Great relationships take time to build but they last forever if nurtured properly. Slow intros in the home, pack walks, and crate and rotate in the beginning while everyone gets to know each other…this can be the key to success. A home with no other pets would also be ok. If you have children in the family, the best way to see if she would be a good fit is for everyone to meet her. Lucy is looking for a new best friend or family who will help her be the best dog she can be!
