LEIA IS NOW PENDING ADOPTION!

Meet Leia! Leia is a 14 year old, spayed, female German Shepherd mix.  She’s quite petite at 30lbs and could stand to gain a little weight.  Leia was surrendered when her owner passed away and her owner’s widower no longer wanted to “deal with her”.  She’d been having some digestive issues resulting in diarrhea, but she’s since started medication and her foster says she’s a healthy girl now!  She is heartworm negative, but as she’s a lady of advanced age she will likely need some dental extractions due to poor care.  Leia would love to be someone’s center of attention for her remaining years, another quiet dog or cat in the home would be fine.  Please, no rowdy young dogs or children, she just wants to relax!

Leia is house trained and does okay in her crate, but does not have accidents or get destructive when left free to roam.  A fenced yard is not required, but she does not have much experience leash walking.  It may take her some time to warm up and show her sweet side when transitioning to a new home, but once she’s assured she’ll be loved she’ll surely reciprocate!
