Meet Joxer! Joxer is a 9 year old Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix that came to us after being surrendered to a partnering shelter. At 12 pounds, he may be small in size, but is big in personality!
Joxer is leash trained, mostly house trained, and does great on car rides. He enjoys the company of small dogs and so far has not taken any interest in cats. He does well alone around the house and is not destructive, but he prefers to have a human or another dog keep him company at all times.
As a senior Shih Tzu Mix, he has some typical for the breed eye and teeth issues (he is a very picky eater because of this) that are currently being addressed. However, they do not stop him from playing with his dog friends, and he has taken interest in playing with all different types of toys! He may be a little guy, but Joxer has plenty of love to give!
