Welcoming Helena to rescue! This 9-year-old senior Chihuahua comes to us as a local owner surrender. Her former owner feels that she deserves more than she can offer right now in life. Helena has a history of doing well with other small dogs her size and cats, too! Helena gets anxious around children. For her well-being, we are seeking applicants without young children. No children, please.

Helena enjoys walking and does well on a leash! She enjoys relaxing and trotting around within a fenced-in area to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Helena is spayed and microchipped. She will begin monthly preventatives for flea, tick, and Heartworm disease while with the rescue. She will also be tested for Heartworms, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis prior to adoption. If a dental procedure is deemed medically necessary by our vet, the rescue will pay for dental cleaning with extractions under anesthesia. All senior dogs with us have bloodwork panels done to assess and rule out medical concerns prior to adoption.
