PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.
Meet Harley! Harley is a 10 year old Rat Terrier who came to us after his owner passed away. He is 12 pounds of absolute sweetness!
At first we did not know much about him, aside from his love for blankets of which he loves to burrow and snuggle with. He is most happy when cuddled with a human, and also enjoys the company of small dogs (big dogs, he is not the biggest fan of). He is a pretty quiet and low energy little guy most of the time & especially loves belly rubs. Harley doesn’t have much interest in playing with toys, but gets very excited for food and walks. Harley has even taken to running and playing alongside the resident young dogs in his foster home!
Harley is house and leash trained. As far as cats go, he has been able to coexist with those in his foster home, but he does get curious and will chase them from time to time. We don’t know if he has ever lived with children, but he has done well with them interacting at adoption events. He does fairly well on car rides. He does well alone out of a crate and is not destructive. At night, his favorite place to be is curled up with a human in bed with them.
Harley is neutered, heartworm negative, and passed his senior blood work with flying colors. He has a dental in the works for a few back teeth that have seen better days (currently on a wet food diet for comfort), but they do not stop him from sitting and dancing for all of the treats!
If you are looking for a small super snuggly senior, Harley is your guy!
