Say hello to Gizmo! Gizmo is a 1-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix (best guess). Through no fault of his own, he has found himself in need of a new home. He is house trained and crate trained. He is not food aggressive, is very smart and does follow some commands, like sit, look, come, no, and working on others. Gizmo still needs work on leash training, Also, needs work on jumping, and play nipping. He isn’t bad with cats but his play with them is too aggressive. He is good with kids but would do best with kids older rather than toddlers. He is not aggressive with them but it is because of his size, he is very “Marmaduke”. He would do best in a home as the only dog. He is very shy and takes him a bit to warm up to people. He needs more people and dog socializing.
In initially adopting Gizmo his family was told he would be a small dog, good with kids, and cats. He is good with the kids but as much as they have tried, his size is too much. Gizmo is not the Chihuahua mix they thought he was. He needs a family that can accommodate an energetic 45 lb. dog. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his shots. He is a healthy, loving dog.
