PLEASE NOTE:  Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.

Dinner Rolls (called Bambi by his foster family) is a 4 year old, 11 1/2 lb., male Bichon mix who came to us as part of Project Chesapeake, rescued from a puppy mill. He is current on shots, neutered & microchipped.

Bambi is a quiet and gentle soul who’s been taking his time adjusting to life with his foster family. While he tolerates other dogs, his heart truly belongs to his brother, Carlos, whom he rarely lets out of sight. Bambi feels most secure with Carlos by his side, making the pair an ideal duo for adoption.

Bambi finds comfort in his crate, where he prefers to spend most of his day lounging and napping. He’s a great eater, though he hasn’t yet warmed up to taking treats directly from his foster mom’s hand. Human touch and close interaction aren’t his favorite things, but with patience and understanding, he’s sure to come around in his own time.
When it comes to potty training, Bambi does well as long as he has easy access to go outside. Without it, he may mark indoors. He’s very mild-mannered, showing no aggression toward humans or other dogs, and he hardly barks. Plus, he’s a non-shedder, making him a low-maintenance companion in that regard!
Both Bambi & Carlos require a fully fenced, secure yard.
Bambi would thrive in a calm, experienced home—ideally alongside his brother Carlos—where he’ll be given the space and time he needs to feel safe and comfortable. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving pup and are ready to help Bambi blossom at his own pace, he could be the perfect match for you!
