Meet Chloe: A Spunky Companion Looking for Her Perfect Match!
Chloe is an 11-year-old, female Shih Tzu mix with a big personality packed into her 14-pound frame. She’s house trained, doesn’t shed, and passed her vet check with flying colors! Her previous elderly owner could no longer care for her, but now she’s ready to find her next loving home.
Chloe is best described as sassy with a side of sweet. With an energy level of 5 out of 10, she’s got pep when she wants it but also appreciates a good nap. She LOVES her daily walks (a full mile!) and is a pro on a leash. If you enjoy strolls around the neighborhood, she’ll be your perfect walking buddy.
Though she’s vertically challenged and can’t jump onto furniture, she quickly mastered the “senior steps” to claim her spot on the couch. While her foster works from home, Chloe is happy napping in another room, then reappearing for attention when the workday is done. At night, she sleeps downstairs on the couch, but if she really wants to be near you, she may figure out a way—like the time she inched a baby gate out of the way to get closer. Determined? Yes.
Chloe loves her food, eating twice a day without issue, despite missing a few teeth. She enjoys both wet and dry food and likes treats—but if you’re hoping to teach her tricks, she’s not quite convinced yet.
Chloe barks at some people and dogs but not others—she’s selective. She adores her foster mom and is slowly warming up to dad. She briefly had a foster dog sibling and got along fine, so she wouldn’t mind sharing a home with another friendly pup. Her experience with cats and young children is unknown.
Chloe is well-behaved in the car, happily lounging on a blanket in the front seat (safely tethered, of course). While she isn’t big on toys, she enjoys interactive play and quality time.
Chloe would thrive with a single person, couple, or family who enjoys daily walks. She’s independent yet affectionate, full of personality, and ready for her forever home. Don’t pass up this girl—she has plenty of love to give!
