PLEASE NOTE – Fosters with our rescue have 2 weeks to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt the pup in their care.
Chewy Chew Choo has had a ruff time. You see, he’s a little dog and becomes protective of his humans. He believes it’s his duty to protect his family and house. It’s his JOB. Because of this behavior, he is being returned to rescue. We did not observe this when he was with the rescue, but maybe once he becomes attached, he goes around patrolling the perimeter. Chewy Choo Choo is a misunderstood “pup” and we know he can flourish as an only-pet in the home. No children and no animals of any kind. He prefers to be the star of the show. An ideal home for Chewy would be someone that works from home or is retired with no other pets or children. If you do have guests over, we recommend allowing him to decompress in his bedroom. Guests are a trigger for him and he fears his human will get hurt.
Chewy is a 7.5 year old Shih Tzu who is neutered, microchipped and current on shots.
