Welcome to Rescue, Charlie! Charlie is a 2 1/2 year old Goldendoodle who came to us as an owner surrender. They just didn’t have the time or space for him. He is super sweet and described by his fosters as a big doofus! Charlie has A LOT of energy!! He doesn’t tire out easily so he really needs a family who have to the time to spend to work with him on manners and boundaries. He needs a strong hand to help him become the phenomenal companion that we know he can be! Charlie is house trained and crate trained (sleeps great in his crate) and up to date on vaccinations. He hasn’t been neutered yet but is scheduled and will be done prior to adoption.
This big boy came to us pretty matted so at the groomer he had to get shaved a lot more than expected (see pics for the before & after)! Charlie would do great in a home with a big yard that he can run around in and play. He does fine with other dogs though can appear intimidating to little pups and he’s also fine with kids (though he could easily knock over the littler ones). At 70 lbs, Charlie can be a handful but for the right family, he will also be the perfect newest family member!!
