Meet adoptable Casey! This gentleman comes to us from a commercial breeding facility where he was used as a stud. Those days are long gone, and now he enjoys life as a beloved family member! Casey is a 10 & 1/2-year-old purebred Bichon Frisé weighing 11.8 lbs! He is already scheduled to be neutered & also will receive a medically necessary dental cleaning and possible extractions while anesthetized. His blood work results were satisfactory, which is pawsum news! Casey tested negative for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis. He is incredibly snuggly and is soaking up all this new attention! He enjoys tucking himself under the blankets to get nice and cozy! I can’t say we blame him. ☺️
His foster mom taught him how to walk on a leash, and he is learning quickly! He knows what a leash means. We are working on his marking, but he is quick witted and responds to positive reinforcement.
He loves the fresh air, seeing other dogs, and sniffing all the trees. If you’re looking for a snuggly friend who is more into relaxing and watching TV than early weekend hikes, he is your guy! He’s great with cats and has been good with all the dogs we have crossed paths with. Casey’s foster mom says she’s unsure about how he would be around kids, but considering his temperament, it’s unlikely he will have issues. His foster is not adopting so we are welcoming applications immediately for review.
