BLACK WIDOW IS NOW PENDING ADOPTION!
Meet Black Widow! This sweet girl is an 1.5-year old Chihuahua mix who comes to us from a hoarding situation, Project Green. Widow sets her own pace at relaxing and trusting. She would do better in a home with another confident dog that can teach her how to be a dog. She’s working on her house manners and working on leash training (she’s not a fan of sudden loud noises!) but sleeps quietly in her dog bed. In her foster home, she is learning how to trust and how to receive human touch. She is a real Houdini when it comes to her crate with the door closed otherwise she rests comfortably inside with the door open. She is great with the resident dogs, and also does well with the dog-savvy cats. She is a shy at first but, is warming up nicely and is so sweet!
She is always close by to her foster mom and foster siblings. Her wagging tail and tiny self greeting you at the door always makes you smile. A real diamond in the rough. She is doing well with pee pad training. She is also making strides in walking on a leash with her foster mom. Since she is shy, she would do best with children over the age of 8 who can understand she came from a place that was scary. She is a mild-mannered but of course slow introductions to family members are always recommended. Widow needs someone to be patient and to teach her that humans are not all scary. She is learning to trust and is looking for her forever home.
