Welcome Barney! Barney came to us from Florida along with his sister, Gypsy. These two were happily living their lives until their owner passed away and they found themselves looking for new homes. Devastated family members were determined that these two would not end up in a shelter. So they ended with us and settled into their foster homes. It was obviously a confusing time for them but they have adapted well and showed their true personalities. Gypsy has already found her furever home and now it’s Barney’s turn.
Barney is a 9-year-old, 80 lb. Pointer mix. He is neutered, house-trained, microchipped & up to date on shots. He is dog friendly, sweet and smart. He is good with kids and disregards the cats. He has no known health issues but does have a minor skin issue. We are feeding him special dog food to make sure it’s not a food allergy.
Barney loves to lay around the house or on the deck with the sun shining on him, but when he sees his leash he is up ready to go! He loves car rides and jumps up, on his own, into the car with no problem. He plays with his foster siblings, who are much younger than him, and holds his own. He’s happy to be an only dog or have siblings in the home, he doesn’t care. This playful senior will make anyone a great companion.
