Our Adoption Event at PetSmart this past Friday evening was a huge success!  Seven of our pups turned out to be petted, fussed over & just generally loved!  Everyone got to meet Delta, Dawn, Johnny, Mikey, Grumpy, Boomer & Puggy!  Several are now pending adoption plus lot of interest in a few more.  Special thanks to all our volunteers and to our supporters who helped make a rainy night so great!

Today we had our photoshoot for the 2020 Renee’s Rescues calendar at Brandywine Creek State Park.  It’s our 6th year in a row & this year we had more than 30 of our adopted pups from the last 12 months participate! The weather was beautiful & everyone had a great time.  Can’t wait to see the pics by our super talented photographer (and VP). Stay tuned for updates on the final product!

We had been working with Merlby Designs on creating apparel to raise awareness for dog fighting and to show support for Barnaby’s journey. Sadly, his journey has ended.

We are now dedicating these shirts and hoodies to his memory and to bring awareness of dog fighting. Feel free to have a look and purchase if you’d like.

It is with great sadness that Renee’s Rescues and Pit Bull Pride of Delaware announces the loss of Barnaby. In a brief period, Barnaby touched the hearts of animal lovers across the map.

“If love alone could have saved you, you would have lived forever.”

In loving memory of Barnaby.

We are partnering with another Delaware non-profit, Pit Bull Pride of Delaware who is currently on an intake hiatus. This dog, now named Barnaby, came to an emergency vet the other night by his owner with wounds from a dog fight. Upon examination, the animal also exhibits old scarring. He is being surrendered to Renee’s Rescues. In order to save his life, he needs to have both ears removed, in addition to both eardrums. He has open infected wounds all over his body and will need several days of emergency care.  He is going to be an ICU patient for at least a week so we have increased his fundraising goal. We will post all paid invoices to ensure transparency. We were with him at the emergency vet last night. We are praying he makes it.

If you can help at all, please click on our Donation link.  Renee’s Rescues, Incorporated is a federally recognized non-profit in the State of DE.
