Say hi to Tuck! He is a 13 year old, 6.5 lb., long haired Chihuahua who came to the rescue from one of our local shelter partners. He has a typical Chihuahua personality, mostly sweet with a little sass mixed in. He currently is fostered with other dogs of various sizes, but would prefer a home with either other small dogs or as the only dog. He has been introduced to cats and is indifferent to them. He enjoys napping, cuddling, and going for slow walks. Tuck is up to date on shots and will be neutered & microchipped prior to adoption.

Tuck has some various health problems that are typical in older dogs. He has few teeth left and will need to be on a diet of soft foods only for the rest of his life. The vet suspects he has some sight loss in his right eye and some loss of muscle in his back legs. He is able to handle going up and down most stairs, but needs help for some higher jumps. He has occasional accidents in the house, but this is helped with the use of belly bands and frequent trips outside. His foster recommends older kids who knows how to handle older and somewhat delicate dogs.
