RALPHY IS NOW PENDING ADOPTION!

PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.

Hi there! My name is Ralphy (on paper it’s with a “Y”, but my foster family has been spelling it with an “IE” because they say it matches my vibe more…and you can also just call me Ralph too). I am a 4 year old, male weighing 14 lb. – everyone thinks I’m a Shi-Poo – and I am looking for my furever family.

My old family took me to a shelter partner of the rescue and said I had a seizure. I don’t know if I did or not, and the people that have been looking after me since I was rescued have not seen me have one. Since my old humans left me, I just want to be with a human all of the time and get sad when they are gone. I’ll probably get better about that once I know that I’ll have a true furever human. With all of that and me currently healing from being neutered, I am taking gabapentin to help me out.

My favorite thing is to be with a human, and I especially love to lay across the top of the couch or on top of my foster human’s pillows to be super close to them. They have other dogs my size that I like to hang with, but I’d also be fine flying solo as an only dog. There are cats in my foster home that I could care less about. There are not any children here, but I love all people so pint sized ones should be okay if they are dog savvy.

I am potty trained and walk well on a leash, but I’m also cool with a fenced in yard situation as long as a human is always with me. My foster mom says I have springs for legs because I love to jump up on furniture to have the high ground. Car rides are cool, but I prefer to sit on the floor and not the car seat – even better if I can sit on a human’s lap! I have a crate that I’m starting to get used to, but I’d much prefer to snuggle in bed with a person or lounge on my doggie bed. I definitely love the toys at my foster home, but it’s hard to play with them with the cone I’m wearing post surgery (and I can’t wait for it to come off!)

By mid July, I will be finished up with all of my vaccines, all healed up, and ready for my furever home!
