My name is Pepper and I see all my friends getting adopted. When will it be my turn? You see, I’m a 4 & 1/2-year-old Beagle mix hopeful to find a family to call my very own! I weigh 45 lbs; I’m spayed, vaccinated, house-trained, and crate-trained and current on vaccinations! I love to go on walks! I could sniff all day long in the backyard if you let me! Smelling helps me learn. I am both dog-friendly and cat friendly! Because I’m a late bloomer, Im just learning what is expected of me by humans. I get so excited when I meet people that I jump up to say hello! I just learned that can upset people. My former home had children and I was never aggressive around them. Sometimes the banging sounds made me scared.
I get anxious with too much stimulation. A chill home environment would be a dream! I have anxiety just like a lot of other pets and humans, too. I get scared my family isn’t coming back. I’d do best with a stay-at-home parent, a retired parent, or a work-from-home parent. The good news is that I’m healthy with no medical problems! When my environment is calm, I am calm. If there’s too much activity and stimulation in the home, I get overwhelmed. I’ve never tried to hurt anyone, nor have I bitten anyone. Would you please give me a chance? I’m worried no one will pick me. I just need structure and love.
