PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.
Hi! Let me introduce myself. I am Patriots, my foster family calls me GiGi. I am an approximately 15-pound female Bichon mix almost 3 years old. Thankfully as part of Project Chesapeake, I was rescues from a puppy mill along with many others.
I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. I am also taking monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.
Due to my past, it takes me a bit to warm up to and trust you, but once I do, I will become your best friend. I will snuggle with you in a chair and in bed with you through the night. I will be protective of you and stick to you like glue.
I get along with other dogs of all sizes, haven’t been around cats so I’m unsure if I like them. I will chase rabbits and squirrels sometimes. It takes me a bit to warm up to humans so it’s best if I don’t live with small children. I definitely will alert you when someone comes around.
I am potty trained as long as I am let out on a regular basis. I walk well on the leash, however, I don’t like to potty while leashed walked. Even though I am not a big fan of the crate my foster mom does crate me at times for a couple hours while she does errands. I do fine on car rides. Love playing with stuffed toys.
My ideal forever home would be a low-keyed environment where my human is home most of the time. Being I attach to one person and become protective of them a home without small children is best. A fenced in yard is a must! A single person home would be awesome.
Although I’ve learned much since being rescued from the puppy mill, I still have more to learn. I know I deserve a loving home with a person that has patience, compassion, and plenty of love. Are you that person? If you are interested in assisting me in my continued growth, and training please fill out an adoption application. I promise to give back unconditional love!
