LEAH & MOCHA ARE NOW PENDING ADOPTION!
PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.
Meet Mocha and Leah! These lovely girls are 4 year old, 70 lb., purebred Standard Poodles who came to us as owner surrenders and need to be adopted together. They are both spayed, house trained, crate trained and up-to-date on all of their vaccinations. They have lived together their entire life.
Mocha is very inquisitive. Sometimes she is a little in-your-face when she first meets someone new and we have to remind her to take a step back. She listens pretty well, and after a few minutes she will warm up. Mocha tends to be the one that will bark first and sound the alarm. She is also the one that will initiate play first. Mocha is also very gentle taking a treat and shows no food aggression. She also does well in her crate, however, she will bark at noises and get Leah roused up.
Both girls walk well on the leash. They do not run out the door and will wait nicely as you close the door. They are strong and will pull if they see rabbits or other small animals. Both will stand at the slider at our patio and watch the squirrels. Mocha does not like cats or small dogs. It would be best is she goes to a home with no cats, small dogs, or other small, furry animals. They grew up with children and don’t seem bothered by any children in the neighborhood. Both girls acclimated to their foster home almost immediately; they made themselves right at home. They also ride nicely in the car.
