Meet Mocha and Leah! These lovely girls are 4 year old, 70 lb., purebred Standard Poodles who came to us as owner surrenders and need to be adopted together. They are both spayed, house trained, crate trained and up-to-date on all of their vaccinations. They have lived together their entire life.
Leah is very sweet and is the more easy-going of the two girls. She is more accepting of strangers and new animals. She is curious, but gentle about how she approaches. She takes a treat very gently and has shown no evidence of food aggression. Leah is happy to sit, leaning against you, and just be petted and talked to. She will look lovingly at you as you talk to her! She goes into her crate, settles quickly, and sleeps quietly all night.
Both girls walk well on the leash. They do not run out the door and will wait nicely as you close the door. They are strong and will pull if they see rabbits or other small animals. Both will stand at the slider at our patio and watch the squirrels. Mocha does not like cats or small dogs. It would be best is she goes to a home with no cats, small dogs, or other small, furry animals. They grew up with children and don’t seem bothered by any children in the neighborhood. Both girls acclimated to their foster home almost immediately; they made themselves right at home. They also ride nicely in the car.
