Meet Happy! Just like his name, this cutie is always a goofy, playful pooch!

Happy was rescued from the streets of India where he had to fend for himself after his mother sadly was hit by a car. It is very hard for animals out there and most live as “street dogs.” They have to learn survival instincts very early on if they want a chance.

A wonderful group of animal advocates rescued him and cared for him in an orphanage. He eventually made his way to the US thanks to non-profit, Peedu’s People. Happy is currently in a foster home in Newark, Delaware.

He’s a 1-year-old, neutered Whippet mix. Up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped.

While Happy has a history with other dogs, he gets nippy when excited. (Not in a mean or aggressive manner. He gets overly excited to romp and play with canine pals. Not all dogs welcome a pal in constant play mode.)

Happy’s rescue journey is very unique and we are hoping to match him with the right home. We know there is the pawfect family or special person out there!

Please apply if you’d like to meet this wonderful fella!
