PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.
Meet Finn! Finn is a 10 year old, 43 1/2 lb., purebred Border Collie who has spent his entire life at a puppy mill living in a barn & not knowing what it was like to have a family of his own. He has been working with a trainer since his arrival & is doing great getting acclimated to the outside world. – he gets along with other dogs, but definitely prefers people over dogs. He is not super playful with dogs and would thrive in a quiet home. Despite his age, Finn desires to be active and absolutely loves hiking. He has been on 3-6 mile hikes and has kept up the entire time, so a moderately active/weekend warrior type of person would be perfect for him!
Finn enjoys going in public and meeting new people. He would love to go to outdoor patios and breweries with his people. Someone with herding breed experience would be ideal for a potential adopter, as he shows some common border collie traits and quirks. Because of this, we also recommend a fenced in yard or consistent access to an area where he can be safely off leash. Finn is crate trained, neutered, microchipped & had a full dental cleaning.
