PLEASE NOTE: Fosters have 14 days to decide if they wish to “foster fail” and adopt their foster dog.
Bellatrix (Bella) – 3.5 month old, female mixed breed
Current weight: 22 lbs.
Estimated full grown size: medium, in the 55 lb. range
Heartworm status: not tested due to age, on preventatives
Special medical 🏥 needs: spay/microchip
Dog 🐶 friendly?: yes!
Cat 🐈 friendly?: unknown but she’s young so she could likely acclimate just fine
Kid friendly?: yes!
Youngest age of children you’d recommend: any age would be fine with supervision. She’s in the throes of the mouthy/jumpy stage but listens well to correction
House 🏠 broken?: not at this age, work in progress
Crate trained?: will do a bit of whining/barking when she goes in, but a good chew toy as a distraction seems to help
Leash trained?: work in progress
Travel well in the 🚗?: a little nervous but otherwise just fine
Energy level (on a scale of 1-10, 1 being total couch 🥔, 10 the energizer 🐰): probably about 6-7/10. Definitely has puppy energy and loves to zoom around the yard or romp with another dog. She will independently play with a toy and then settle when she’s getting tired
Fenced yard required?: not required but preferred
Ideal family dynamic/living situation: almost any. She’s obviously too young to be left for a full work day at this point, so someone with a work from home job or pet sitter/dog walker plan
Favorite toys 🧸 🎾 and activities: loves other playful dogs, chewing bones, running figure 8s in the yard
Anything special/unique that makes your foster stand out? She’s a sweet girl! Definitely food motivated and appears pretty smart and quick to pick up commands/cue words
